Mosquito Screens in Tbilisi
CityHandyman makes mosquito screens to order — window screens from 140 GEL, door screens from 160 GEL. From measuring to installation takes 2–4 days. The technician covers all districts of Tbilisi and suburbs.
Why clients choose us
Aluminium frame — not plastic
The mosquito screen frame is made from aluminium profile. We match the colour to your window frame. Aluminium does not crack in the Tbilisi sun and does not warp, unlike plastic.
Price confirmed before the visit
Send a photo of your window to WhatsApp — we confirm the price within 30 minutes. The technician arrives knowing exactly what to do.
Chat-first communication
The CityHandyman technician replies in WhatsApp and Telegram around the clock in English, Russian and Georgian.
We arrive at the agreed time
The technician arrives at the exact time agreed — not "sometime in the morning." No waiting around at home. The measuring visit takes 10–20 minutes.
Mosquito screen types we install
CityHandyman makes and installs three types of mosquito screens in Tbilisi — for any opening size and configuration.
Framed screen for windows
The CityHandyman technician fits the aluminium frame using Z-brackets — no drilling required. Removes in seconds for window cleaning.
- Aluminium profile 10×25 mm — white, black, brown or other colours to match your frame
- Fibreglass mesh — 1.2×1.2 mm cell, blocks gnats and cottonwood fluff
- For openings wider than 900 mm the technician adds a stiffening bar
- No drilling — the PVC frame stays undamaged
Hinged screen for balcony doors
The technician fits the screen on hinges — it opens like a door, so the balcony stays accessible without removing the screen.
- Aluminium hinges — hold the mesh panel without sagging
- Latch handle keeps the screen closed
- Frame fits the full door perimeter — no gaps at top or sides
- Made to the exact size of your opening
- Optional: heavy-duty pet-proof screen made from steel mesh
Pleated screen
The CityHandyman technician installs pleated screens on wide and non-standard openings — folds accordion-style to the side and stays out of the way.
- Fits wide openings — single or double panel
- Folds to just 3–5 cm when open
- Polyester mesh — UV resistant
- No frame cutting — mounts onto the existing profile
How the installation works

Frequently asked questions about mosquito screens in Tbilisi
The price covers everything: profile, mesh, fixings, measuring and installation. The only extras are a non-standard frame colour (+20 GEL) and large openings requiring a stiffening bar (+20 GEL to the base price). CityHandyman confirms the exact amount from your photo before the visit — no surprises on the day.
The technician completes the job in 2–4 days: measuring, production, installation. Multiple screens at once — same timeframe, one visit. Rush orders are discussed separately.
The standard mesh has a 1.2×1.2 mm cell. The mesh blocks mosquitoes, flies, gnats and cottonwood fluff.
A stiffening bar is a horizontal aluminium profile across the middle of the frame. Without it, openings wider or taller than 1 metre cause the mesh to sag under its own weight over time. Small windows do not need one. The technician determines whether a stiffening bar is needed after measuring and confirms the final price immediately.
Z-brackets are for window screens: the frame clicks in and out without tools in 5 seconds but does not swing open. Hinges are for door screens: the screen opens like a door so you can walk through. The opening type determines the fitting — not personal preference.
A framed window screen is doable if you measure accurately. The usual problem is a 3–5 mm error that makes the screen either too tight or loose with a gap. A hinged door screen is harder — it requires precise measuring and hinge adjustment. CityHandyman includes measuring and installation in the screen price — fixing a DIY attempt costs more than the original job.
CityHandyman installs pleated screens and accordion screens. Send a photo to WhatsApp — we will advise on the right type and confirm the price within 30 minutes.
